A perfect lunch date

It's about time I had a reason to go downtown other than the usual bar hopping Friday. Now I can go enjoy a tasty sandwich and the occasional cookie at Java Lava. J.L is a tiny hole in the wall restaurant, but its food is making a lot of noise. Resembling my mothers cooking, they have great portions of salads, pitas, and sandwiches, all the fit nicely in my budget. They even offer tiny sandwiches on days that I didn't bring a huge appetite. And putting aside the great cuisine, I know I can always go in for a smile or a helping hand. Every employee is so wonderful; it's no wonder that the line is around the block during the lunch hour. Make it a priority to visit this perfect, quaint cafe around the corner.

I joined SocialSpark

It's a good day for all you writers out there waiting for your big pay off. Recently, IZEA launched its brand new website, SocialSpark. It is a tool for bloggers and advertisers alike to connect in a symbiotic relationship. The process is a simple one including 10 pre-existing blogs, within a 30-day session, and once approved by social sparks costumer love, you can blog your heart out. But what's better than getting paid to write about what you love, you get to share you thoughts with a whole community of bloggers. With SocialSpark, you can adopt a new family and create a buzz about your own blog. They also keep to a code of ethics ensuring post disclosure, transparency to the public, being free to have real opinions and to be search engine friendly. These ethics ensure a genuine, trusting blog to all. To me, SocialSpark is no work and all play! Its not just a website to make some extra money, you can prop blogs that you love, and read comments others leave you. And I cant help but wonder, with all these sparks flying, two young bloggers on a hot internet day could catch some sparks of their own. This website might open more doors than you expected. It truly is like another world, sometimes better than my own. Which explains why when I first heard of social spark, I instantly prepared to join this amazing opportunity. I pay homage to SoicalSpark, and it is an honor to be apart of it.

My kind of land!

I think it's safe to say that I am in love with all dogs. Little or big, these furry balls of joy make any day more exciting. This is why I never hesitate to utilize my summer breaks and spend half the day in Petland. This puppy store is a haven; an emporium for animals and owners alike. Petland's one-stop shopping can leave you holding a dog in one hand, a goldfish in the other, and a cute weekend outfit for both. I cant even walk past the cotton ball isle in Publix without thinking about a puffy playmate. I guess my summers are going to be busier than I thought!

Payperpost, a thing I love!

payperpost is a new and exciting opportunity for everyone across the globe to discuss their passions and the things they love. I first heard about this experience from a friend who knows my love for writing and thought I'd be great for blogging. I thought "getting paid to write, what more could I ask for?" This company ultimately means a lot of things but most importantly it means the freedom of expression. I'm a female with a young fresh mind and a lot on it, so at the end of the day it's nice to know that people are interested in hearing what I have to say. And as a college student pressed for time, sometimes a job isn't an option. A hectic schedule leaves not much availability. But with PayPerPost I can work from home and talk about things that I enjoy. Also, while writing, I simultaneously get to hear what others have to say. It's a whole other network outside my normal realm of friends, with a huge variety of ideas. Hearing the same position all day can get stale, so it's gratifying to hear a different perspective. PayPerPost, "get paid to talk about the things you love".

I-sistant

The craze over Apple's iPhone launch has engendered expectations that are almost impossible for one company to adhere to. But having no standards, the iPhone becomes an amazing device that deserves the impressive buzz. Apple has finally released a phone that does it all- a sleek machine that produces music, and Internet all in one touch. Perhaps this is every woman’s dream? A hand held device, that allows your fingertips to do the shopping, no matter where you are. It takes care of boring office meetings, and saves a trip to the mall. Still, the iPhone has its imperfections. If you’re willing to pay the price, it could empty out your wallet. There have also been speculations of the phone freezing, sometimes preventing you to pick up your phone calls. But everything aside, if the monetary value doesn’t matter, the iphone is a great accessory for any decor.

Getting my hair cut; it’s a ritual that makes me feel beautiful, it’s a ceremony that puts me in an idyllic frame of mind, and it is a service that is almost impossible to find. With all the cosmetology degrees out there, one could presume that finding a great hair stylist would be a pretty easy task, and then they would be wrong. But before you completely rule out outsourcing this job and resort to at home colors in a box, I have discovered a place capable of the job. Prive Salon at The Shoppes at Millenia was a full service salon that held true to its star reputation. Besides my haircut, the scalp massage and shampooing was alone worth paying for. Heed my advice and make an appointment, this kind of hospitality and performance would never appear out of a Walgreen’s do-it-yourself.

Keep Pouring

Saturday April 18th marks the day of wine, cheese and smiles at the downtown Pour in downtown Orlando. I was working the event at the 98.9 Wmmo tent but even though I didn’t get to experience the event as a customer, the Pour was still wonderful. And seeing it from an employee’s point of view, I still felt the amazing energy. Once admitted for a $35 bargain, everyone could go around to several wine tents and flavor the many wines offered. If you liked what you tasted you could order it to be delivered to your home. And if it wasn’t exactly what you were "tasting" that day, you could move to a different booth with just as many selections. There was something for all pallets. I was left asking "can you pour me another".
